Join us to celebrate the 8th anniversary of STSG with this fundraiser! Tyrone Baker, author of A Convict's Perspective: Critiquing Penology and Inmate Rehabilitation, will read from his book, followed by a Panel of Experts discussing the Transition from prison back into the community. Through this event, STSG aims to raise awareness and educate on the experience of persons incarcerated during their transition and how they were prepared before being released, while also raising funds for STSG's Transitional House. If attendants of the event have questions they'd like the panel to answer, they can put the questions in the chat box during the event.
We are happy to announce our Panelists:
- Ms. Bessie Elmore, our Executive Director
- Mr. Tyrone Baker, local Durham author
- Ms. Judy Van Wyk, Facilitator at Orange Correctional
- Mr. Demetrius Lynn, Local Reentry Council Coordinator
