STSG TRANSITIONAL HOUSE
STSG Transitional House – 1101 N. Mangum Street, Durham, NC 27701-1931
STSG Transitional House serves justice-involved men reentering society and is the heart of the organization. The home can provide shelter for up to 18 men and our typical program length is up to 120 days. Our residents are connected to mental health providers, treatment for chronic illnesses, substance use disorders and social service benefits to support their post-release transition.
STSG Transitional House has furnished living spaces and common areas, such as: living room, kitchen area, dining area, and laundry room, as well as a basketball court for the residents to use as they please. |
Our community ties and partnerships provide programs to teach life skills, financial literacy, technology awareness, employability skills, and anger management. We also provide access to individual and group peer support to assist residents with wellness, substance use disorders and coping with transitions back into the community.
Mediation is also offered to help reconnect with family and loved ones.
STSG also organizes social activities for the residents to enjoy some fun activities and fellowship.
